About Our Curtains
1. Are Italian Royals curtains ready-made or custom-made?
All our curtains are custom-made to order. Each piece is crafted individually based on your selected fabric, style, lining, and exact measurements. This ensures a perfect fit and a truly bespoke finish.
2. What fabrics do you offer?
We use only the finest luxury fabrics, including blends of linen, cotton, cashmere, wool, polyester, and velvet. Each material is chosen for its refined texture, durability, and graceful drape — balancing beauty with longevity.
3. Are curtain rods or tracks included with the curtains?
No. Curtain rods, tracks, and accessories are not included by default and must be purchased separately. We focus on crafting exceptional curtains, allowing you to choose the hardware style that best complements your space.
4. Do you provide measuring or installation services?
We currently do not offer measuring or installation services. However, our detailed Measurement Guide helps you measure accurately, and our customer support team can assist you with any clarifications.
Fabric & Lining Choices
5. What are the differences between your fabric types?
Each fabric has unique qualities:
- Linen & Cotton Blends: Light, breathable, and elegant — ideal for soft, natural draping.
- Velvet: Rich, warm, and luxurious — perfect for formal or cozy interiors.
- Wool & Cashmere Blends: Sumptuous and insulating — ideal for bedrooms and cooler climates.
- Polyester Blends: Durable, wrinkle-resistant, and great for sun-facing or high-traffic areas.
6. What types of linings do you offer?
We offer:
- Privacy Lining: Softly filters light while adding structure and protecting the outer fabric.
- Blackout Lining: Blocks up to 100% of light, providing full privacy and insulation — perfect for bedrooms and media rooms.
Measurements
7. How do I measure my windows for custom curtains?
Our Measurement Guide provides step-by-step instructions for both wall-mount and ceiling-mount installations. Always measure each window individually, and double-check all dimensions before ordering.
8. What if my measurements are incorrect?
As each curtain is made to your exact measurements, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for incorrect measurements provided by the customer. Please follow our guide carefully or seek assistance from a local professional measurer.
9. What can I do to fix things if my measurements are incorrect?
Small discrepancies can easily be fixed or adjusted. If there is a small difference in the width of the curtain by 1-2 inches, then it will easily adjust because by default we provide 2 times the fabric of the width of the curtain rod. If your curtain rod is 2m wide then we will provide a curtain that is 4m wide. This is done for fabric fullness for a good presentation of the curtain. So 1-2 inches of discrepancy in the width will go unnoticed.
If there is a difference in the height of the curtain by 1-2 inches then try to adjust the level of the curtain rod or track, so that, this discrepancy also goes unnoticed.
Production & Delivery
10. How long will it take to receive my curtains?
Our curtains are handcrafted to order, and production usually takes 7-15 working days depending on the fabric and style. If the fabric is not available in stock then it may add 7-10 working days to the production time. Shipping time varies by destination, and we will notify you once your order has been dispatched.
11. Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free shipping via DHL to more than 50 countries worldwide including USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Europe, Norway, Finland, Sweden and New Zealand.
12. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide via DHL. Please note that customs duties, import taxes, or fees may apply in locations outside the US. These are the responsibility of the buyer and must be settled directly with the courier or customs authority.
13. How will I know when my order has shipped?
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number so you can monitor the delivery progress.
Returns & Replacements
14. Can I return or exchange my curtains?
Since all curtains are custom-made, returns, exchanges, or cancellations are not accepted once production begins. This ensures each order remains bespoke and exclusive to you.
15. What if my curtains arrive damaged or incorrect?
Every order is carefully inspected before dispatch. However, if your order arrives damaged or has a confirmed manufacturing error:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
- Provide clear photos and your order number
Once verified, we will repair, replace, or remake the curtain at no additional cost.
16. What if I receive a slightly different color than expected?
Minor color or texture variations are normal due to dye lot differences and screen display settings.
Care & Maintenance
17. How do I care for my curtains?
Refer to our Fabric Care Guide for detailed instructions. In general:
- Vacuum lightly every few weeks using a soft brush attachment.
- Dry clean only for most fabrics.
- Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry luxury fabrics like linen, wool, or velvet.
18. Can I iron or steam my curtains?
Yes, but gently. Use a handheld steamer or a low-heat iron on the reverse side if necessary. Avoid high heat and never press directly on velvet or textured fabrics.
Ordering & Payment
19. How can I place an order?
Simply select your fabric, lining, size, and style directly on our website. Once your order is placed and paid for, our artisans begin production immediately.
20. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure online payments through major credit/debit cards and trusted payment gateways. All transactions are processed safely — we do not store your payment details.
21. Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders cannot be modified or canceled once production has started, as every curtain is made to order. Please review your order details carefully before checkout.
General Information
22. Do you offer installation or design consultations?
At this time, we do not provide installation or on-site measurement services. However, our team can assist you remotely with fabric selection, lining advice, and styling suggestions.
23. Do your prices include taxes?
All prices are displayed in US$ and include applicable local taxes unless otherwise stated.
24. What happens if my shipment is delayed?
While we work closely with premium courier partners, delays due to customs, logistics, or external factors can occasionally occur. We will always keep you informed and assist in tracking your shipment until it arrives safely.
